To achieve health equity, we need fresh, bold innovation. And this kind of innovation requires ingenuity. Digital fluency. An ear to the ground on today’s pressing issues. And a healthy dose of idealism.
And these are precisely the traits we see in future physicians. At AMSA, we see it time and again: students with breakthrough ideas and solutions designed to bring quality health care to those in need in new, transformative ways.
The question now becomes: how might we help empower these super-charged students — the ones who are pioneering bold solutions to achieve health equity, while in medical school?
This is the AMSA Digital Health Innovation Festival.
We aim to accelerate bold digital solutions emerging from the minds of future physicians. To empower visionary student leaders to dream, develop and disrupt healthcare — making it more inclusive and just.
How it works
Apply
We welcome novel innovations, bold concepts and transformative solutions from medical students by January 10, 2025.
Pitch
Selected applicants will pitch their solution to a panel of AMSA experts in a virtual lightning round to AMSA panel of experts in February 2025.
Present
5 select finalists will be funded to attend AMSA’s National Convention — Future Physicians for Change — in Washington DC on Friday, April 18th, 2025 to present their concept live to esteemed judges from leading organizations like Google, Amazon Health, and others.
Award
The judging panel will award a grand prize, which may include funding, the opportunity to present at other industry meetings, and enables you strong consideration for $125K investment with a nationally recognized accelerator focused on social justice.
