We’re onto something great. Just this past June, we piloted our inaugural Legacy of Leaders event: a gathering of AMSA alumni — visionaries, pioneers, and leaders — who have shaped the future of healthcare. Here, alumni reconnected with their AMSA colleagues and leaders from decades past — and co-mingled with the AMSA leaders of today.
AMSA past, present, future — all together in the name of collaboration, ideation and positive change in healthcare. As AMSA does best.
It was such a success that we’re doing it again — and you’re invited. Similar to last year, we’re holding the Legacy of Leaders event in Washington DC on the last day of AMSA’s National Convention: Future Physicians for Change 2025.

This year, we’re celebrating 75 years of AMSA. This is a potent milestone — a perfect time to convene, catch up and connect with today’s AMSA leaders to celebrate 75 years of leadership, changemaking and community.

See, this year, our 75th year, we are celebrating AMSA’s moments in leadership, advocacy, community. The facets that make AMSA unique and powerful. We welcome your personal AMSA stories — big or small. Simply use the prompts below to replay meaningful moments with us digitally (text, video, audio, imagery, other!) — or physically (phone and mail can work, too!). This could be an advocacy initiative you led, a humorous AMSA-memory, a photograph or item that represents your AMSA chapter — we welcome all your submissions. We will use them to create an AMSA History Project — how this manifests will hinge on what we receive from you!
