AMSA’s Innovation Festival is bringing together the brightest minds in medical education to imagine, create, and showcase the future of healthcare.

We’re teaming up with organizations and businesses that share our vision: that believe that health equity is possible — and recognize the power of the next generation of physicians to drive it forward.

The concept.

More medical students today are harnessing technology to drive change in healthcare. We’re seeing an inspired strain of med-innovators emerge: super-charged students launching startups, bootstrapping products, and developing solutions.

This initiative seeks to identify these trailblazers, shine a light on their innovations and embolden their work through the AMSA Digital Health Innovation Festival. The first of its kind.

How it works

A call for applications. Tapping AMSA’s vast network of tens of thousands of medical students from across the country, we’ll invite students to apply by January 10, 2025.

Lightning pitches. In early January, we’ll invite the semi-finalists to prepare a lightning pitch to our panel of judges. Lightning pitches take place mid-February, 2025, virtually.

Finalists present in DC. From the virtual lightning round, between 5-7 finalists will be selected to present to a live panel of judges at AMSA’s national convention in April, 2025.
