I am a double board-certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and have served for the past decade as a Senior Physician at The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) in the San Francisco Bay Area. Beyond my clinical practice at the Fremont and San Leandro Medical Centers, I am a passionate advocate for professional culture and provider health. I serve on the Advisory Committee on Physician Wellbeing for the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, on multiple committees through my national professional societies, and on several local not-for-profit boards. I also lead communication workshops at TPMG to help new physicians rediscover joy and meaning in their work through improved patient communication skills.
My commitment to service extends globally. Each year, I volunteer with the HUGS (Help Us Give Smiles) Foundation in Hanoi, Vietnam, performing microtia repair for children with facial deformities, and have participated in over a dozen surgical missions across Ecuador, Guatemala, and the Philippines.
I believe in a ‘whole person’ approach to health, balancing my surgical career with a dedication to mindfulness as a certified RYT-200 yoga instructor. I teach several classes weekly in the Bay Area, where I am able to use my anatomical expertise to help students into safe, effective movement. As a member of the AMSA Foundation Board, I am dedicated to ensuring future physicians have the holistic resources they need to thrive both personally and professionally.
